Checking in 29 Days after surgery

I have to say I am as back to normal as I can get after my surgery. The doctor released me and I am able to return to the pool and do all my normal retired lady stuff. 😎I am cross stitching on my Long Dog Sampler. Death by Cross Stitch. I am working on page 3 of 16.

I am also working on a quilt called Long Time Gone by Jen Kingwell. Jen's quilt really work with my plan to sew with my scraps this summer. Today I made 2 scrappy pineapple blocks using paper piecing and 1 inch strips of fabric. And I made 4 quarter Log Cabin blocks with strips from 1" to 1 3/4" for the 6.5" blocks.

As you can see the floor around my chair is full with strips of fabric.
Here is a picture of the quilt I am going to make, but mine is much more scrappy.

Happy Stitching Everyone, no matter what you are stitching on.

Your scrappy blocks look fabulous as does your progress on Death by Cross Stitch. Glad to hear you are able to return to your normal activities!

Love the Death by Cross Stitch. The shop has the model hanging up. Yours looks great. The quilt blocks are very pretty.
