I saw the Mary Wigham's sampler on many different blogs and had to investigate. I started downloading the pattern in the third week and made my donations. I didn't think I would start it this soon but what can I say I started it on Monday August 24th.
I had gotten the material and tea dyed it last week. It was the first time I had ever done that and I got it waaaay to dark. I was able to lighten it a little and I lost a lot of the splotches but I do like the lighter color. I had also gotten the floss at the August 16th Michael's sale. So well why wait.
So I started Monday evening and have been stitching a couple of hours a night and see what I have done in three evening.
I have joined The 8th Haedless Sampler SAL for 2009 and Mary Wigham - USA version of the SAL. I love looking at all the different version of this beautiful sampler.
You can download the pattern and read its story at Needleprint blog don't forget to make a donation.
I will be posting my progress on this wonderful sampler as it goes along.
I tried to work out a rotation but like a lot of others I just don't think it will work for me. So back to stitching what I pull out of my stitching box.
