Like every other stitcher's I have brought more than one stitching stands since I started stitching many years ago. I do most of my stitching in a recliner, a very large leather recliner. But I just can't find a stand that will let me stitch while reclining in my chair. Since I have been having a sore shoulder and I find holding my Q-Snap gets very tiring. I just had to find something that would work.
Well long story short I made my self a stand and here it is.
OK laugh all you want but this cut up piece of cardboard box works just how I want it too. It fits over my wide lap and I can prop the Q-Snap against the edge and presto 2 handed stitching and I am not holding the Q-Snaps. It's not pretty but it works for me and that is the important part of it all isn't it.

Hey make sure you put a patent on that.
I'm trying to think of something witty to say and I'm coming up empty. What type of cardboard?
that is awesome! Kudos to you!!
Oh please manufacture that one!!! I bet you would sell a ton of them!! I love it!
i think thats the right thing to do - if you have a problem find a solution - and thats what you did and now you can stitch two handed - awesome! hugs, Amanda
Loving the ingenuity!
Great idea!
and it didn't cost you an arm and leg, wonderful. I bet you could add attachments, thing you put on with clips, lots of lights and magnifiers come with them and with a clothes pin you could add a little small box to either put your snippets or small scissors and threads in. You are genius.
