Welcome to my blog

I hope you enjoy your tour of the blogs involved in “Grow Your Blog”. Thanks again to Vicki at 2 Bags Full for organizing it.
I am a Cross Stitcher, a Reader of mysteries/FanFiction/paranormal, I’m learning to be an oil painter, a Mah Jongg Player(still learning), a hobby Photographer, a ham radio operator and a Amateur Genealogist. No, I don’t do them all the time but they are my main hobbies when the urge hits me. I also do Zentangle tangles and I draw.
I retired to Florida from Virginia last year and haven’t regretted it one bit other than missing all my stitching friends. I am taking classes and enjoy learning new things. I want to learn to Quilt and Kayak too.
You never know what I will share on my blog but it is mainly Cross Stitch. I have stitched since 1987 when Jan from Stitching Cats told me I had to learn to cross stitch myself if I wanted the Macaw’s stitched, and she taught me too. Many thanks Jan. I have stitched those Macaw’s and a whole lot more over the years and shared many fun hours with her stitching. My stitching goes in spurts at times but I always come back to it.
I plan to take time out during this weekends IHSW to take my own tour, I look forward to seeing your blog too. I will try to visit as many blogs as I can during the weekend. I plan to leave comments and hope you will too.
Happy Stitching everyone.

Hello, I am loving your blog, we have so much in common, I love stitching and playing Mahjong - I didn't know you could play it like that.

I will enjoy reading your blog in the future.

I enjoyed my visit here. Like you I get into what I feel like at the time and lately it has been quilting. I am also into genealogy and have been taking some classes.

I knit and crochet and cross stitch once in a while. I have heard of Zentangle and finally through your post looked into. It seems like a lot of fun. Enjoyed meeting you through the Grow Your Blog party.

Hello! I found you through the blog party. Nice to meet another Florida girl. I'm just starting on cross-stitching again and, believe me, it's been years so I'm really rusty. Looking forward to learning more about you.

Hello. I am very happy to have discovered your lovely blog. I envy your warmth vs. it being very cold in Michigan at the moment. I am sure you have many lovely birds in Florida to watch. Your stitching is lovely too. Hugs Judy

I'm your newest follower thanks to Grow Your Blog. Amazing that great blogs are out there, such as yours that we just may never find. So glad you stopped by my blog as well.

I love the table runner, and think that where you stopped with the two knots was perfect. Beautiful stitching.
