Liebster Award

Thanks Minnie for this fun award.
Liebster is a German word, meaning favorite, dearest or beloved.  The Liebster is awarded by bloggers to other, newer bloggers who have fewer than 200 followers, to spread the word and help the new(er)bies gain wider recognition.
The award comes with four conditions that each recipient must satisfy when accepting
1.        Choose five up-and-coming blogs (with fewer than 200 followers) to award the Liebster too.

2.       Show thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.

3.       Post the award on your blog.  List the bloggers you are giving the award too with links to their sites.  Leave comments on their blog so they know about the award.

4.       Share five random facts about yourself that people don’t know.
It's hard choosing people, but here goes
1.  Astrid at Astrid's Stitchingblog , check out her father's stitching too.
Now five random facts about myself HUMMMMMMMMMMMMM

IHSW and Stitch and Bitch

We had a great Stitch and Bitch this weekend. Jan, Tracey and I had a great breakfast and a wonderful morning of stitching and bitching. Helen was able to join us at lunch time and she joined right in.
I worked on Pot 4 Dickie during our S & B and the rest of the day. I finished up the end of the band today and had to take a quick snap. Here it is one more band done on the way to finish my long long band sampler.
Happy Stitching Everyone

WIPS for March

Don't have much to show for this last months since I was away for a while and OK I admit it I was in reading mode.  I did work on my Long Dog Sampler Pot 4 Dickie while I was in Florida. But most of the time I was sitting with my big brother Denny, he had by-pass surgery on Feb 17th so we sat and talked a lot this trip. He read his old time Sci-fi paperbacks and I read about my Vampires and Werewolves on my Nook.

I went ahead and opened it up so you all can see how far I have gotten. I have a loooong way to go and I still love this piece.

Before
After

I worked on my Wiehenburg Quaker Welcome Bank a little while too. I am stitching it  up and down but I am turning the pattern so the letters will be on their side until I hang the piece over a door in my new home in Florida when I move in a few months.
Happy Stitching all and I hope to have a lot to show next months.
