A Good Week End

Friday I had my 5th Quilting class and we sized our blocks and started sewing them together to make the quilt top. I moved mine around so they are not placed anything like in the book but I like them and that's what counts. Here is the first 3 rows half sewn together.
I have it spread out on 1/2 the new cutting table and it fits great in my Hobby/Guest room. I can close it up and I have some furniture mover glides so I can swing it out of the way.

I also worked on my Quaker Welcome but I am rethinking having it horizontal instead of vertical so I am going to wait to put anymore letters in the medallions until I finish the rest and decide. I have noticed that some of the designs don't look right horizontal so I may have to go back and change the W E L C to vertical.

Saturday I had lunch with a friend and we went to the 50% off last day sale at one of our 2 quilt shops here in Ocala. Peggy's will be missed by a lot of people. Well I got two more large pieces of fabric for one block wonder quilts and a few books all 50% off. Then we had a nice lunch at Mimi's it was Yummy.
Sunday I had dinner at Gail and Bill's and learned a new card game called Garbage. I had a blast learning the game and well to make it even better I won. That was real beginners luck that is for sure. Check out Gail's Blog, Parker's Barker's for her great quilts and birding pictures.
