March's WIPocalypse for April

My WIPocalypse this month is my finish for the Celtic Wedding Sampler

Before

I worked on Pot 4 Dickie and finished another band.

After
I moved Mary Wigham to my new stitching frame and put in a couple of hours stitching, stitch part of another Quaker emblem. I do like the new stitching frame and it was very easy to take Herbie off the bars and but MW's on.

Two More Framed

The Celtic Wedding Sampler is framed and ready for its trip to Virginia the end of the month. Hobby Lobby did a great job cutting the mat for me and hey the frame was half off this week so I got a great deal to boot.

I have a friend visiting and we went Antiques/second hand store shopping yesterday and I found a few great frames, so my Friend's sampler got framed this morning. I would have liked it just a tad wider but for a $2.50 frame it works great and the colors are perfect.

Happy Stitching everyone and my Virginia buddies I will see you soon. I will be in Stafford from May 1st till the 10th than I will be dog/house sitting in Ruther Glen from May11th to the 18th while my niece is on her honeymoon but will be online.

Wipocalypse for March

Wow it's Wipocalypse again it seemed to sneaked up on me again. I opened the calendar this morning and there is was in big letters so I wouldn't forget.  I just seems like the other day I posted for last month.
Well this month I finished Family Treasures III and the Family, Friends and Faith Sampler from the newest JCS and I worked on the Celtic Wedding sampler for my nieces wedding in May, Herbie and Pot 4 Dickie. It has been a very stitch filled month for me and I owe a lot of the stitching time to audio books (I know you are tired of hearing that aren't you). I just can't sit and listen to these great books, I have to be doing something and if I'm not in the car stitching is the best thing.
So happy stitching everyone and stay safe.

Herbie Part 2 half finished and beaded
Almost half done just have to finish this band

Just the names and place left to do.

IHSW update

I had a Froggy IHSW but I did my stitching and listened to my audio books. The house was wide open and the weather was great. I worked on my Celtic Wedding Sampler and beat off the frogs. Of course when you want something to be the best that is when they attack. I redid parts of the Celtic knot 3 times before getting it right then the scroll work, yep had to redo them both a couple times to get them right before I realized the pattern was wrong for one of them, it had 3 loops instead of two loops so of course they didn't match.  I am back stitching all the knots around the boarder and did the Gaelic saying, yes had to take half of it out since it was off by two stitches.
I also started a new small sampler from the new Just Cross Stitch just for a change. It just spoke to me for some reason so I just pulled out a piece of fabric from my stash and started working on it.

WIPocalypse 1st Check in for 2013

For this the first Wipocalypse report of 2013 I have a finish a some progress to report on my Celtic Wedding Sampler.
I finished my Celtic Table Runner that was started a few years ago.
I worked on the Celtic Wedding Sampler for my Nieces wedding in May. Here is where I ended in December.

Here is were I ended this afternoon. I find listening to an audio book really helps me get a lot of stitching done. No I find that out :-)

I will be adding the MaryWigham sampler in to my WIPocalypse list for the rest of the year. Here is the sampler and where I am starting with Mary in this round. As you can see I have made some color changes and will be making more I am sure.

Happy Stitching Everyone and Welcome to all my new followers.

WIPocalypse Dec. 2012

WIPocalypse Dec. 2012 is here and I have two things to show. I am working on the Celtic Wedding Sampler for my niece. I can find the pictures I took last months but here is is today. I also finished the Lizzie Kate "Life's a Stitch" that is being used as a traveling pattern for 2011 and 12 that was started by Angela in Hooked on Stitches. I will have a drawing for the pattern on January 2nd so that I can send it on its way again.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Years and that 2013 is a great stitching year for us all.
