WoodLawn Needlework Show and Castles In The Air.

Wow, Jan and I went to the Woodlawn Needlework show today. I was very pleased with the show. They have given the viewer a lot more standing room and you are able to get closer to the needlework and really see it for a change. We were both blown away by the Japanese embroidery at the show. They had a whole room set up for it and it was just just well WOW. The pieces were just beautiful and the stitchers did an outstanding job.
So if you are in Northern Virginia during March you should stop by and see the show.

Then of course we had to head for In Stitches our favorite LNS. We even headed out to Fairfax to the Stitchers Stash. We both made purchased at both shops. I picked up a grab bag at each place and was very please with them, for $10 each I got at least $50 in patterns. So it was great fun each time and I think I got 6 patterns that I may really do and 3 I know I will never touch. So it was a great deal for me.

I worked on Castles In The Air this afternoon and evening and got Part 8 finished but for the beads. I never think the colors are going to look good together while I am stitching but when I spread out the sampler to take the pictures I am always please with the results. Just one more part to go and I will be caught up, Hip Hip Hurray .

Fun day - and stash, too! Seems like that would be a fun gift-away... Your Castles if beautiful; great stitching!
