Busy Week in the Quilt Room

This is week 4 of my Scrap Vortex Quilt Along. The blocks are getting bigger and I am putting in some strips and some Half Square Triangle blocks too.

These are my April and May blocks for my block of the month Galaxy of Stars. I have to do June's star before the new one comes out July 1st.

Last but not least are 4 blocks I made from a large bag of silk tie scraps that Beth gave me a few month ago. I just wanted to try a few blocks before I put the scraps away till I finish some other projects.

Back to the Quilting Room

Been stuck in reading mode again, plus fighting a stuffy nose but today I made myself close my Kindle for a little while.  I finally got to the grocery store and than back in the sewing room.
Here are the things I worked on today. I did another block in my BoM Galaxy of Stars and I finished sewing blocks for my Shakespeare in the Park.

I am behind on these block but will catch up slowly but surely.

This is the first 20 blocks for my Shakespeare in the Park. These are the Virginia Reel blocks.   I have to do 20 Star blocks and 16 smaller blocks to complete this large throw.
Happy Stitching Everyone.

My Summer Quilting Plans

Well Pot 4 is still on the stitching frame but it will get done.
I have been making myself a quilting and stitching plan for the summer.
January's Block
I am going to be working on a Block Of The Month called Galaxy of Stars, I have done the January and February blocks and have March, April and May to get done before June 1st. I am using a Black material with white dots for my background and green, purple, red, and yellow from my stash on this quilt. I love having a big stash of fabric to draw on for my quilts. The scrappier the better for me.
February's Block
I am working on Aim For Accuracy II which comes out on the 7th and 21st of the month. I have completed 3 lessons so far and should have the next 3 lessons done by the 21st. Here are all my blocks so far. I am using Fat Quarters in purples and greens with a background of whites from my stash.

Lesson's 1-3
I will be working on Smith Mountain Morning by Bonnie Hunter and a Dear Jane quilt. So I have a busy busy summer ahead of me but I am looking forward to it.
